FUNDRAISER FOR TRAUMA KITS: Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point joined its medical staff in donating $13,000 each to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and Pasco County Schools’ Stop the Bleed campaign. This national initiative aims to train and empower civilians to act swiftly and effectively in trauma situations. Training is provided by volunteer medical personnel who are experts in the initial stages of trauma management. It is tailored to teach quick, life-saving measures that can be applied by anybody. The initial cost for the initiative is $250,000, to provide more than 100 schools with 15 trauma kits each. The Bayonet Point medical staff jumpstarted the campaign with the $13,000 donation and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point matched the donation.
